Merry Christmas from Roxborough Park!

To our Family and Friends,

It’s been a year full of travel, reconnecting with many old friends, and making some great new ones along the way. I traveled overseas (Asia & Europe), had a 40th b’day with an amazing party thrown by Fred and Judie, made some progress climbing due to our home gym, and did my 1st trad lead (thanks Beth)! Fred had a pretty good ice climbing season (thanks Alan!), threw a truly memorable 40th b’day party for his wife, had to bow out of the Europe due to a client’s hectic summer of change, but logged many hours biking in the "backyard".

Most significantly, it’s been a year of connection. I reconnected with and made many new friends during my overseas trips. We also had wonderful family and friends grace Casa de Seyffert or visit Denver this year. Each of those moments have been refreshing and heartening. We feel we’ve deepened these dear relationships in our lives. Of special note was the beautiful chaos of the Seyffert reunion (13 in all!) where we witnessed cousins becoming friends. From personal experience, those are special life long connections. We are grateful for having a year full of such wonderful reminders of our blessings.

Have a wonderful holiday season and a charmed 2008!

Love Fred & Ida (Parker & Tucker too!)

Home gym - Matches Made in Hell

Working on this project for the last month and a half. Took about 3 weeks to get my FA. But I could not do it with shoes on!? My foot just couldn't hold for the long reach to the far left. Probably easiest move on the climb but quite a reach for me. Very aggravating. After about a 3 week break from this problem, got a pair of 5.10 Moccasims...tried the long reach and nailed it. But after a minor injury and two weeks off, I had to re-work the problem. It took about a 3 days, but finally scended...with shoes. :) Here's the video.
